Stressed?
Good evening my coffee lovers,
As a parent or even an adult, we overwork ourselves to the bone. I can Guarantee there are billions of you right now stressing over a great Thanksgiving dinner, stressing over traveling and stressing over the best outfits for the dinner party that your about to have with your people or family that you have not seen in a while. We try our best to not be stressed but let's be honest life has us stressed and as much as we try to avoid it happens. I have been thinking of ways we can less stress us out without changing our lives completely. Now as many of you would like to be drinking your stress away or smoking I have other ways that are safer for your body.
1) Listen to music
I know you think it sounds ridiculous but it works out great on mental status. I recommend you listening to something that brings you up as a person like. “ Happy” by Pharrell Williams or even Miley Cyrus "The Climb". It does not have to be the songs I chose. You can choose rap/reggaton/ dancehall if it helps.
2) Write down your feelings
Sometimes you have stress and you really don't like anyone to know about it. Writing is a great outlet to write down what is stressing you or just write random funny words that make you forget what stressed you out for the first time. We have so much bottled up inside and that brings us stress and will make it come out the wrong way. I am pretty sure we yell at the wrong person when most of the time we are yelling at ourselves. Drawing can be a form of your own writing as well.
3) Exercise
Who has time to exercise right? Well, it can be simple as fast walking or running across the park just to get to another side. The pheromones we have when we exercise trumps the stress pheromones. How about if you are indoors? You can get up touch your toes and count in your head for 10 seconds and then stand up trust me your body will feel a tad relaxed.
You cannot control what stresses you out but you can control the way you handle it. I learn even smiling helps when you don't want to. I hope you are smiling through this blog and i hope i made your day even if its for 5 minutes.
Now its time to ease your stress away with a cappuccino or mild coffee to ease your mind.
