Expectations

Good Morning my coffee Lovers,

I want to take this day to talk about expectations. We all have them but can we be taking our expectations a little to far these days? I know for sure I am somewhat the same when it comes to expectations. I am here drinking a coffee from home expecting it to taste like ones in Starbucks or Dunkin and when it does not turn out that way I get discouraged. We all expect the best and feel as we deserve the best. Am I saying its a bad thing course, of course not but can this world be taking it just a tad to far?

I saw a person who went food shopping and yet she had a cart full of groceries expected the clerk not only to take out her grocery out of the cart while she talked on the phone but also expected her to put in her bank card which it was on her side where she stood. It's bad enough she had to also bag her groceries up. That's where I feel expectations get the best of us. Did we forget how to be human beings?

I am pretty sure we showed our worse sides this weekend being black Friday. Fighting over materials things to satisfy not only our family but for ourselves. I want to bring back time when even "hellos" were necessary, and how about opening doors and in return hearing a "thank you". Even realizing your not the only one in the world who is busy or has things going on to the point where you can take out your own groceries. The world is hard and I want you to just expect enough to make you feel independent without making everyone feel used. I know you remember what it was like to be a decent person, let me say not say we are not but more realizing sometimes we don't act like it sometimes and we should.

Here are some things to try to do that may not change or impact your life completely but may impact the other person that deals with you on an everyday basis.

1) Fold your boxes and try to recycle even though it's hard but it can make the super's life just a tad easier while they deal with our garbage to make us feel just a bit cleaner.

2) When someone opens the door for you or even lets you pass in front of them say thank you. It makes a difference and shows that there are still decent people in the world.

3) You are at a grocery store and you have many groceries and the person behind you has one or two let them go ahead three minutes of your time will not change anything. Maybe also take out your own groceries you went shopping for. It makes everyone more at ease and you get to have that independent feeling inside.

4) Ask your mom or the person who cooked over a stove for you and so well may I ask, if they would like help with the dishes so they can rest a bit. She or he will be thankful and they will feel a little more at ease with fewer things in their to-do list.

This world deserves the best as we should want the best. I just was us to do the decent things while walking up that ladder of expectation.

I hope this serious conversation does not ruin your morning. Until next time my americano's I will cappuccino you later!
