Do you know someone who has Bi polar Disorder?

Hello coffee lovers,

Today this conversation is a bit deep. It is time to get any  hot or cold drink that makes you feel like you are ready to hear what I have to say.

Many people are in relationships and they are with those who are diagnosed  with Bi polar Disorders. Now being with someone in a normal relationship is hard enough imagine one who has a disorder.

When dealing with someone with Bi polar disorder, there are some clues that may seem a bit normal like any other mood but it can go from 1 to 10 in no time.

For those who do not know :

There are two neurotransmitters in your brain that may play a role in bipolar disorder. And each has a different function. Which are :

Dopamine:

Science has shown that dopamine is associated with thoughts and emotions. It also helps control movement in your body. A decrease in this neurotransmitter may slow your movement and even your motivation. While an increase has the opposite effect, resulting in increased movement and motivation.

Serotonin:

Serotonin is a chemical released in your brain by nerve cells. This chemical acts as a messenger to control your mood. Decreased serotonin levels may be linked to sadness or dips in your mood; an increase to a boost in your mood.

Bipolar disorder or also known as manic-depressive illness falls into the category of a brain disorder that causes a person to have an unusual shift of moods, activity levels, and energy thus affecting the person’s ability to do daily tasks.

Normally I do not go into much details but I want  everyone to realize what this is and what to expect.

When knowing someone with bipolar disorder is never easy. Most of the time what you will be doing during this relationship to  endure your partner’s episodes and the attempt of getting them help will really take it out of you.

 There are what doctors call Manic episodes one should look out for and there are Depressive episodes as well ;

  1. Feeling very high and happy

  2. Increased levels of energy

  3. Hyperactive and can be a risk taker

  4. Has too much energy and doesn’t want to sleep

  5. Excited to do so many things

  6. Sudden mood change to being down and sad

  7. No interest in any activity

  8. May sleep too much or too little

  9. Worried and anxious

  10. Constant thoughts of being worthless and wanting to commit suicide

Now friends, I know it gets hard and you try to deal with the person but know at  this time there are different places you can get help. I say if one fails try another way. Sometimes the person will not be trying and not to get the help  they need but at least trying your best in such a situation don't be sad or feel its your fault because it's not.

Some people its just harder to help.

Now below are some sites you can read about and  check out. Don't be afraid to help or get help it may lead you better options.

Till next conversation see you Latte.☕☕☕
