We are no longer Stepford wives

Hello coffee Lovers, I know it's been awhile. I hope you're enjoying the new conversations that have been coming. Today I would like to talk about something I find very interesting. I am not sure if you ever heard of “The Stepford Wives" made in 2004 Charming Joanna played by (Nicole Kidman). (Bette Midler and John Lovitz were also in this movie) It Was about a hard working woman who loses her job and her family and moves to a place to get away from it all and goes to a place called stepford. Where the wives have been possessed to be a man's dream come true. Meaning cleaning obeying and giving them sex anytime they want it. The woman became a “Yes” woman anything you say woman. But the main character did not go down that easily.

I mention this because I am pretty sure it was in the past. It was similar to this movie. As time went by women started speaking up for themselves and taking their lives seriously because they have thoughts and hearts and brains as well. Now if you notice women are becoming more and more independent but some men still expect women to not only be independent but also be a “Yes” woman. Most of us women have full time jobs, are moms and are expected to be a great wife. Not noticed how much it can take up down mentally and physically. Men still do the two things they are known for: go to work and take out garbage once in a while. No offense but men are not expected to do much. They still get a good rep for just working. As for women we have to be superwoman, work , cook, be a mom and be expected to give men a hot sexy woman anytime they feel like it. Do we think we feel sexy after working all day dealing with the cleaning and having to make sure our kids are asleep on time? We are lucky to get our hair and get any sleep we can. If we get cheated on it because we are not satisfying their needs for sexual pleasures because we are too tired being superhuman. And it's our fault. And how many women have heard from their mates “ I worked all day,i am too tired” But let us say it and they look at us like this is our job. We all say we have good men but do they really put you at a 50/50 or do they just say they do? Is he cleaning when you get home from a hard day. Is there food cooked so you can just rest up maybe with a glass of wine? Do we say babe or love? I got this. I'll take care of the kids, make sure they are set for school or daycare and asleep on time you go to rest? Does he see the house clean and throw his stuff on the floor like you didn’t spend your night making sure everything is clean? If you feel whole being that superwoman and being that stepford wife for him then go girl because i am not and i am not sure i can ever be.I knew what it was like tendering to men and keeping them happy but then i realized i matter too. We are no longer Stepford wives so wake up, smell the coffee and maybe help us out a bit. Maybe we will have more energy for you. No offense to the men who actually put their work in at work and at home. But some men need to learn we are not giving our all if you can not do the same. Ps if anyone would like to watch Stepford wives who have not, it's only Prime video but it costs $2.99 to rent,but to me it is worth watching. We spent a lot more and alot less.
