Retirement :Age going up?

Hello coffee lovers, This conversation made me want a double shot of espresso and adding cream at the same time. According to https://www.ssa.gov/pressoffice/IncRetAge.html are increasing the age we get to retire to 65. It had millions of people upset and they have all the reason in the world to be. After a certain age it gets harder and if you've been working most of your life adding mage years to when you get to enjoy your life is saddening. I think it's because of the money , but I think if you worked so many years you should be able to retire after 60. Again this is my opinion but bringing it up to 65 does not help us at all. The more time we work the faster our lives are over. These days people are losing their lives before even 60 and we're expected to enjoy our lives after over half of our lives are over.
Am i this age i'm not but i have parents who are over 60 and deserve to retire. I am pretty sure others feel the same as I do. They gave up sweat, tears, lack of sleep and so on. What about social security? How is it that even if we retire around 62 that we cannot get social security in certain states because their age starts at 67 in these places. For example: *Social Security benefits are reduced by 20% for a person who retires at 62 whose full retirement age is 65 (born 1937 or earlier). *That law raised the full retirement age, which had been 65 since the inception of Social Security in the 1930s, to 66 for people born between 1943 and 1954 and 66 and 4 months for someone born in 1956, 66 and 6 months for a 1957 baby, and so on, until it settles at 67 for people born in 1960 or later. I was watching earlier today in Paris. They are so unhappy with the updates that they are protesting and all over the streets to be heard. People are already struggling these days and the government wants to make it harder. According to https://federalnewsnetwork.com/retirement “The large COLA announcement for 2023 is no surprise, given high rates of inflation and climbing consumer prices this year, said Ken Thomas, national president of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, in an Oct. 13 statement.” I am worried about how far this will go. Will we be working our whole lives just to die working? When will the government be happy with what they have or will they just take more? Well i hope they really think this through,Until our next conversation talk to you Latte. #bloggers #mustread #readers #Retirement #cola #2023 #thegovernment @coffelovers
