The Netflix special "Jamie Foxx, what had happen was"

Image
Hello coffee lovers, Today what i am talking about is amazing that we can have any kind of coffee that makes you feel like it was meant for you to have. Asi drank my favorite caramel latte, hot of course. I watched something on Netflix which made me have so many feelings. I watched a stand-up that was not such a stand-up, more of a story of one man's journey into what it was like coming back from death almost. With the support of his family and his lord above. The name of this story was called “JamieFoxx. What had happened was..” While there were jokes, they had a great story of struggle in staying alive not only physically but mentally. When almost losing one's life you tend to become mad or in denial it can happen to you but it doesn't matter who you are, what color we are, we all go through something and we are so lucky if we can wake up the next day. We survive for a reason and we have to find out what that reason is and fight for that reason. We can all have peop...

Holiday memories

Image
Hello Coffee Lovers, As I walk around holiday shopping and drinking my Caramel brulée Latte from starbucks.I look at gifts and items that bring me back to my younger years. Things I have received and a tradition that me and my sister created may be more like us around. Let's take time out this time around to drink coffee or lattes that bring us memories and make us think about one or a couple times being so happy that you can’t help but smile Many people celebrate many different things and i won’t list them all but i will say when you have the chance to get together with family even if it may not be many of you it still fills us with joy. I and anyone else loves gifts but laughter and joy tops all such things. As a young girl i did not receive gifts as children should at a young age but There was this one gift that every time the holidays come in think about it. This one gift made me feel not only special but seen. I opened my gift and it was an ice skating barbie wit...

Breaking the Silence: My Journey as a Survivor of Abuse**

Image
Hello coffee lovers, I have been drinking coffee for a very long time, Since maybe the age of 10. Knowing that I can drink coffee and still think about my past, we know that the past has a way of alway being in the back of your mind. Like I remember drinking coffee at 6am in the morning with my stepmom and playing Mario Bros. Some memories go away or you forget but some memories of the past you cannot forget. Let's Talk about victims in young ages who can’t forget their past even if they wanted to. Abuse is a word that carries a huge amount of weight, yet it's one of the many people who struggle to fully understand until they've experienced it firsthand. For too long , I kept my story hidden, wrapped in a blanket of shame, fear and uncertainty but today ,I'm breaking my silence. This is my journey from victim to a survivor ,and I hope that by sharing my story, others who have faced similar struggles will find the strength to speak out and seek help. Abuse can take m...

Family, Can you remove them from your life?

Image
Hello coffee Lovers, Today is an espresso Martini kind of day. It has coffee, don't look at me that way. This conversation is about something and talking about family you may need more than just a regular coffee. Hence (espresso Martini). Let's talk about feelings that make us uncomfortable but also need to be heard or in other words read. There are families who are whole and yet there are arguments they still stay as a family. What happens to those who really don’t have a chance to argue a moment to ask why don’t we talk? Those are the hard parts of family. Those kinds of feelings that keep a family member not whole. As though you will always wonder why. I love family and I am all for family but in reality family is a hard relationship to keep. If you think about it,there is a lack of flexibility when one family member asks for a change in the relationship dynamics, including the lack of respect for new boundaries, holding on to perceived slights from the past, disagreement...

Trauma: Why do we avoid it?

Image
Hello my coffee lovers, I am here drinking a caramel latte watching a show called “Unprisoned’ and yet it's sweet. I felt a bit bitter at the bottom. That's how life is. As much as we want life to be sweet, our past trauma rears it ugly bitter head. I will admit I am a big person who chooses to see the sweetness and who tries to avoid past feelings. There are times that I may feel these feelings that I can't avoid. I feel myself ready to have tears run down my eyes but I stop them before it stops. Is this the right thing to do,of course not but that's just my way. My past has gotten me to where I am today but I question if it was different would I be who I am today? I like who I am dipsite of holding in my feelings. I have gotten pretty far and I know or I FEEL as though I am content and happy. I am sure as though I am feeling good about the length I have gotten. I still feel as though people may think I am better than many or my partner got me to where I am. I w...

I Am (The Celine Dion documentary)

Image
Hello my coffee lovers, I am drinking my medium roast coffee with french vanilla cream. It tastes so good. I hope you have a coffee that you love so much it makes you smile like it so especially during this conversation we are having today. I was on my smart tv going through my shows and on Prime I noticed there was a documentary c. For those who do not know me, I am a fan of her work. I remember my first time I tried to sing her song The titanic song “My Heart Will Go On” When I was younger I was in front of over 20 people, maybe more and I was so nervous I couldn't even sing correctly .Of course I got booed off stage but as I got older I just kept trying to make my voice higher. Am i an excerpt of course not but karaoke sounds better now when i sing it. When I was younger I remember buying my first music cds. When it was popular in the 1980's . Of course I bought her album. Watching her documentary brings back so many memories that hearing those songs makes tears com...

Have you seen Bridgeton ?

Image
Hello Coffee Lovers, Today I am excited to talk about what I hope many people have wanted to talk about,”Bridgeton” On netflix. Get your ice lattes and your fraps and well sorry I still work on hot coffees. Let's talk about bridgton and what you think about the new season. It's our time to gossip. For those who don't know this show I want you to think back to the 1800’s.(the Regency era)The costumes are incredible and the language is beyond anything I have yet written. Every time I watch it I just want to binge watch. The show is about wanting to be seen but not in a bad way but way the world would respect you or fear you depending how you look at it. The humor and the romantic parts of the show is every girl's/woman's part of it. We can’t forget the amount of gossip, what would be a show without drama. This season I spoke to a few people who were saden to know they were not as interested but I think because many have gone straight to the new season they must ...

Do you have Anxiety?

Image
Hello coffee Lovers, The conversation we are about to have is very deep and very informational at least to me and I hope to you readers as well. I suggest you grab your coffee closer to your lattes steamer and espresso shots that will keep you going through this. Get ready and let's talk about what most of the world has. Anxiety. Everyone is scared of this word and to be honest ist so natural these days. I have my own story to tell how I didn't know I had it until my younger 20’s. I was stressed out about my job. I just quit it because he was a true womanizer. I couldn't take any more of it. I quit and while thinking about it on the way out I thought about my past and I thought of things I could have been, I got in my head so much by the time I got home my heart was beating right out of my chest. I felt light headed and I couldn't breathe. My heart started to beat faster and i felt myself locking up.Not being able to move.I was on my bed just thinking thats it. I a...

Losing weight is for the strong

Image
Hello coffee lovers, Now with this heat i normally do not drink cold coffee but i am considering coffee ice cream. What do you guys drink or eat to keep the coffee life alive? Talking about eating lets talk about what a large percentage of people do around this time. We try to exercise to get that what everyone calls “Summer body”. Many people work really early like in the spring time to get ready to start to lose weight ahead of time. It's exciting when you lose the weight but when you work so hard and lose less than you expected it can be stressful and emotional as well. Some people are built in a way that is in their genes to be the size they are. Losing weight can be hard when you slip, you can wound up how you first started. Then you got to think about the other ways of how you got to that place that you didn’t think being overweight or more weight will cause. For example things that will keep your weight or or gain more weight are things such as: *Sleep Patterns *St...

Is there a right way to be a parent?

Image
Hello coffee Lovers, It's the day after Mothers day and everyone got their gifts and the most love hopefully from their children. Today I want to talk about how many people have different views on parenting. Even great couples as parents still argue about discipline or lack of. So get those Latees or icey coffe drinks and let's talk discipline. I know me and my husband are really opposites when it comes to discipline. I am of course the one it's more linimentary because maybe my past and I let certain things slide or consider it less important to get in trouble with. As for my husband he is the one with most of the rules which i am okay with depending on the situation. Sometimes we can’t agree at all which leads to unnecessary arguments. How do we know when to fight for what you want as discipline or what is needed? I will say that many people just give up and let the other mate win that fight (war). I can say it is Impossible to predict which one wins or loses but i...

Recovering addicts, Can they really be helped?

Image
Hello Coffee Lovers, Today, I was drinking my coffee. As I was enjoying my drink, watching a show called (The Resident), I am pretty sure many people are familiar with it. I found it while strolling on Netflix.Of course, it's no Grey’s Anatomy. Somehow it had a way of catching my attention. I am discussing this with you because a few of the episodes were about being addicted to one thing or another and trying to help them. I feel as though anyone happened to know one or even has been through it yourself. Today, of course, it may be a bit easier to get help with the many programs they have now. They also have online help and video chatting. Now, my question to all my readers is, do you believe that those who are addicted to drugs or drinking. Can they be helped? The statistics show that eventually, they will fall off the wagon.I must admit that many people try really hard to change, but the percentage of Relapse is Between 40% and 60%. When you think about those scary static ...

Describe your perfect weekend

Image
Good Morning coffee lovers, I hope everyone is well and drinking your coffee, lattes or these days frappuccinos.Today i want to get into something that has our Endorphins flowing. something that makes us smile. As we get older our weekends are not like they used to be. In our teens we hung out with friends at home. In our 20’s it was going out and trying to get into clubs. In our 30’s and up we are just looking for a day to just do nothing during the weekends but in reality we always have something to do even when we have no plans. For example, we have a home to clean or clothes to wash. Most of the time it's our time to go to the food shop because we are so busy on the weekdays. If not we have guests over or have to go to someone else's party. We are too tired to do this during the week so we do it during the weekends. Unless you have energy to do these things I give you respect to work and continue to do what you do. As well as those who work during the weekends i guess ...

Getting older is a hard thing to accept.

Image
Hello coffee lovers, While I am here sipping on my coffee with creamer with no sugar I realized I am getting older. I can’t have sugar like I used to and can’t eat the same things I had when I was younger. I think it is time to discuss what many people go through as they get older. Do we accept it or do we have a minor case of denial? Accepting age in any way is different for everyone but getting older after the age 30 people really start to question their lives. What I mean by question, is asking where they are now is where you want to be. After 40 they start to question their relationships and if they are mentally happy. After 50 they start to question are they going to retire or are they not ready and still have so much to give. These seem like typical questions until you are at the part where you are thinking why am i always tired? Why can’t I stay up past 9pm? Why is my back hurting? Can I have kids anymore? Do I have energy to have kids anymore? Life has stages and most of ...

Eating disorders, how much do we really know about it?

Image
Hello coffee lovers, I hope the snow is not driving you crazy and I hope you have something warm like a latte or a coffee to keep you warm. Maybe get a little something like a bagel or something to go with it. They most of the time go well together. Talking about food I want to talk about what people normally keep underwraps and secrets. Eating disorders: how much do we really know about them? What do they really look like? Are you going through it yourself and not even aware? Let's talk about the most common eating disorders that people may be aware of. Bulimia nervosa: is a serious, potentially life-threatening eating disorder. People with bulimia may secretly binge — eating large amounts of food with a loss of control over the eating — and then purge, trying to get rid of the extra calories in an unhealthy way. I know there was a show recently streaming called “Watch everything now.” When a young lady is really having a hard time but trying her best to feel normal but g...

When a parent loses a child. Do they become whole again?

Image
Hello coffee Lovers, Happy New years! I can’t believe we made it through another year and I am pretty sure it was not an easy year for many people. Talking about a tough year, lately I have been thinking about parents who lost their children. I Know this is a sensitive subject but it's something that should be discussed. I am a parent and I wouldn't know how I would cope if my children, no matter what age, lost their lives before me. First of all, the parents going through this let me Offer sincere condolences. I am writing this so you know you are not alone and there are so many parents going through the same thing. Yet it's the hardest thing a parent will go through. In reality I have never been through this but I have seen people who have lost children and how it can break you in ways that I wish never to feel. Let me say you are fine to feel all those feelings. I know many people try to tell you how to feel and how you have to get over it because you can not get ...
