Recovering addicts, Can they really be helped?

Hello Coffee Lovers, Today, I was drinking my coffee. As I was enjoying my drink, watching a show called (The Resident), I am pretty sure many people are familiar with it. I found it while strolling on Netflix.Of course, it's no Grey’s Anatomy. Somehow it had a way of catching my attention. I am discussing this with you because a few of the episodes were about being addicted to one thing or another and trying to help them. I feel as though anyone happened to know one or even has been through it yourself.
Today, of course, it may be a bit easier to get help with the many programs they have now. They also have online help and video chatting. Now, my question to all my readers is, do you believe that those who are addicted to drugs or drinking. Can they be helped? The statistics show that eventually, they will fall off the wagon.I must admit that many people try really hard to change, but the percentage of Relapse is Between 40% and 60%. When you think about those scary static amounts, I know you may lose faith, there is still a chance to change. We must consider the facts when answering my question. Some go back because of habit. Its what addicts are comfortable and used to.There are so many addicts go back because a trigger takes them back to what they were trying to quit. Some go great and succeed for a long time until something extreme happens. There are those who choose to numb their feelings away, but most of the time and then it ends up in death.I would like you to know that it is my readers who i need to understand the high probability of relapse but with the proper tools to maintain sobriety. It is about wanting to fight your urges. It is hard. I know it is because you must try and fix your emotional, mental, and physical needs at the same time. I in my heart want to believe so badly people can change. That they can get better and life will be great again but we don’t really know. Do we? Many relationships will change and I am hoping for the better. There are some people despite how hard you try to change that will not forgive you and sometimes you have to live with that. The Change in recovery is not for everyone else, mostly for yourself. If you believe in yourself enough to change in time others will believe in you as well. I would love your opinion on can people change for the better? Until next conversation talk to you lattee. #recovery #addicts #bloggers #readers #coffeelovers #youropinion #change #fyp
